This design was popular within the team. I personally think it needs a lot more development as, especially when it comes to the negative/background space. I have also been asked to alter the boat as the logo shows a canoe, where as the team only use kayaks (despite the name). The boat needs to cover the knees of the athlete to qualify as a kayak.

Idea 3
Variations

 This was my favourite design due to its flowing curves and simplicity. The comity, however, thought it was too simple. The second logo couldn't be used because it has two paddles and only one is used in the sport.

This is the design chosen to develop further. It was chosen because it is realistic and incorporated LUUCC. There are changes that need to be made, including changing the shape of the boat to match those used by the club, making the text bigger and adding colour.

I enjoyed producing these initial ideas as they seemed to come easily. The research and competitive photos really helped with producing ideas. I also took inspiration from designers like Brian Steely as his line work is great for logos.
