Title:
How to Survive the North: A Southerners Guide
Content:
Content about the North in a typeface by a Northern type foundry. The only type foundry based in the north I could find is called The Northern Bloc which is based in Newcastle.
Examples of their work

The content will be centred around the Manchester area. I could take details from the geography or architecture of Manchester to create illustrations that will feature throughout the publication to retain continuety.
I have yet to recieve the content for this publication so I will make some assumptions in order to begin designing.
The product its self will be marketed as a novelty gift. It was suggested during the 'Speed Dating' task that I could create an 8 page booklet using the 'hotdog' fold method. This would fold out to show a poster of England and the north south divide. The tone of voice will be light hearted, therefore the north south divide will be based on The number of Greggs (the Tab)
https://thetab.com/uk/2017/08/02/weve-figured-exactly-north-plotting-every-single-greggs-store-map-44385
Or based on the Shandy Line (Designers Republic)

Creating a poster will mean the stock will have to be appropriate. It must be hard wearing as it will be folded, not bound. To make it more substantial I will create a box or pouch to put the poster in, this will make it more suitable for the gift market.
