Initial Ideas
Idea 1.
7 stages of freshers.
This is an idea based around the seven stages of being a fresher, for example starting off nervous and become more comfortable as the year goes on. The idea was to combine this with stages of being drunk.
Stage 1: The Nervous Stage
Stage 2: The Introduction
Stage 3: The Chatty Stage
Stage 4:

Stage 6:
Stage 7 : The 'I love you' Stage
They would be made into a deck of cards. Funny and Useful.
Idea 2.
Based on the Otley Run route in Leeds. This is something freshers might not be aware of. This would be in the form of a map or infographic that takes the freshers from pub to pub with hints and tips about how to settle into university. The map would be illustrated and then screen printed to demonstrate the resources available at the college.
Idea 3
Again this idea will show freshers the route of the Otley run. Instead of a map it will use beer mats. It could be a game to collect a mat from each pub on the route. The mats will be illustrated and have the number of the pub in the order of the Otley run.
Crit
After our crit we decided to develop Idea 3. There will be one for every pub on the route and it will include information on how much a pint costs and what time you should aim to be at the pub in order to complete the Otley Run. The beer mats will also include hints and tips and funny quotes about the first few weeks of university.
To produce these beer mats we will laser cut out of cork board or a thick stock. The design will also be lasered onto the stock.
We will also consider how we will store and display the beer mats.
