The app would work for Emme because the app is colourful and visually engaging in the preparation section. The competition section is easy to understand. The colour scheme doesn't alienate girls or boys (using pink might put off boys ect.)
Rosie would appreciate the new layout as it shows her the information she needs in one click. The means the the app is accessible even with limited time and in environments not well suited to electronic devises such as swimming pools. The app is not overcomplicated by over the top transitions over too much text, this will allow Rosie to stay focused on the race. The app doesn't serve as a distraction but a tool.
Charlie could use the app as the illustrations are stylised in a way that is not childish. The design is simple but not bland, hopefully this will keep those with shorter attention spans engaged for longer. The language used in the app is easy to understand, it is appropriate for those who have been competing for years or have just started.
