Jo Blaker
Don’t worry
about labels.
Jo bases
her work on things and images she collects and gathers. By looking, observing
and noticing things around her. She is inspired by colour, line, material and
organic forms. As well as from traveling, especially to remote areas of
Scotland.
If she
feels is lacking motivation with her work she tries new materials to work with.
Her practice is based around play.
Jo’s papercut
work is especially made for large display spaces. She avoids using computers as
she likes to be physically engaged with her work.
